WWE Files Trademarks for Two Ring Names

WWE has filed for some more ring name-related trademarks.

Trademarks

The company filed for “Angel Garza” and “Lucien Price” on January 22 under the entertainment services classification with The United States Patent and Trademark Office. Here is the description for all of the trademarks:

“Mark For: [name] trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service; providing wrestling news and information via a global computer network; providing information in the fields of sports and entertainment via an online community portal; providing a website in the field of sports entertainment information; fan club services, namely, organizing sporting events in the field of wrestling for wrestling fan club members; organizing social entertainment events for entertainment purposes for wrestling fan club members; providing online newsletters in the fields of sports entertainment; online journals, namely blogs, in the field of sports entertainment.”

Background

Garza signed with WWE in 2019 after runs in AAA and Impact Wrestling. While with WWE, he is a former NXT Cruiserweight Champion and a one-time WWE 24/7 Champion. He was recently called up from NXT to the main roster alongside Humberto to be paired with Santos Escobar.

Price, real name Nnamdi Oguayo, signed with WWE in 2022, where he made his TV debut on the August 12, 2022, episode of NXT Level Up, teaming with Bronco Nima and facing Chase U (Andre Chase & Bodhi Hayward) in a losing effort before being a regular on the house show loop. His last match was at a live event on January 13th, where he lost a six-man tag team match as part of Out The Mud to Chase U (Andre Chase, Duke Hudson & Riley Osborne).
