The ratings are in for the Friday Night SmackDown show that aired on October 23rd.
The episode drew an average of 881,000 viewers on FOX Sports 1. The show did 0.25 in the 18-49 demographic. To compare, last year’s show on FS1 in October did 888,000 viewers. The final rating for last week’s SmackDown on FOX did 2.124 million viewers.
The show had to go up against an MLB World Series game on FOX that averaged 8.156 million viewers.
It should be noted that FOX is in more homes than FS1. Not only is FS1 on cable, but they are in far fewer homes even compared to the likes of ESPN.
SmackDown was moved to FS1 last Friday because of the World Series. Thus, the numbers should be up when they move to FOX this coming Friday.
Unlike last year’s show, this episode of SmackDown served as the go-home show of the blue brand for the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event. However, the show a year ago featured appearances by Brock Lesnar, Cain Velasquez, Hulk Hogan, and Ric Flair.
