WWE Friday Night SmackDown overnight ratings down for main event featuring Edge

The overnight ratings are in for Friday’s WWE SmackDown episode from St. Petersburg, Florida at Tropicana Field.

The episode drew an average of 1.945 million viewers, which is down from last Friday’s SmackDown episode that did an average of 2.010 million viewers on FOX.

The first hour saw it pull in 1.868 million viewers while hour two did 2.023 million viewers. The show did 2.028 million viewers in hour one while hour two did 1.992 million viewers a week ago.

It also pulled in an average of 0.50 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which was #2 for the night. That is the same as the 0.50 rating in the 18-49 demographic the show did last week.

SmackDown was in the middle of the pack for the night among the networks in viewership. It had to go up against various March Madness college basketball games.

It should be noted that this is the overnight number and the actual rating won’t be released until next week. This was the go-home edition of SmackDown for Sunday’s Fastlane pay-per-view event. It featured WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks vs. Nia Jax, and Edge vs. Jey Uso with the winner being named the Special Enforcer for Daniel Bryan vs. Roman Reigns at Fastlane. This marked Edge’s first match on SmackDown in over a decade.
