The overnight ratings are in for Friday’s WWE SmackDown episode from Orlando, Florida at the Amway Center.
The episode drew an average of 2.168 million viewers, which is up from last Friday’s SmackDown episode that did an average of 1.979 million viewers.
It should be noted that this was the first live and non-Performance Center based episode of SmackDown in months as it was held from the ThunderDome. This was also the go-home episode of SmackDown for SummerSlam.
The first hour saw it pull in 2.189 million viewers while hour two did 2.146 million viewers. Last week’s show did 932 million viewers in hour one while hour two did 2.025 million viewers.
It also pulled in an average of 0.60 rating in the 18-49 demographic, which was #1 for the night. That is up from the 0.50 rating in the 18-49 demographic the show did last week.
SmackDown was in the middle of the pack for the night among the networks in viewership. It was behind 20/20, Magnum P.I., Blue Bloods, Shark Tank, Dateline NBC, and other series among the top shows on network television.
It should be noted that this is the overnight number and the actual rating won’t be released until Monday.
