Welcome to our live Friday Night SmackDown coverage, tonight’s show is emanating from Albany, New York. WWE has announced that tonight Charlotte and Ronda Rousey will make their I Quit match official in a contract signing, Drew McIntyre will attempt to get his revenge on Sami Zayn in a Lumberjack match, Madcap Moss will take on Angel, and Riddle will battle Jey Uso!

– Smackdown kicks off with Adam Pearce in the ring to host the contract signing, he welcomes everyone to Friday Night SmackDown before introducing Charlotte first, before Ronda can enter, we get a video package highlighting what happened last week between Charlotte and Drew Gulak. Ronda then makes her entrance, both women sit down before Pearce realizes that he forgot the contract, Gulak saves the day by running out with the contract, Gulak tells everyone to look at the titantron because he’s made a PowerPoint explaining the rules of the I Quit match, Charlotte tells him to shut up before bragging to Ronda that she was the winner at Wrestlemania, Charlotte then goes over the stipulations of an I Quit match as the crowd chants “you tapped out.” Charlotte then tries to decide how she will make Ronda quit, she says that it could be the big boot, Figure 4, figure 8, or just a good ol’ fashion beating, Charlotte says she will make a Ronda say I Quit before officially signing the contract. Ronda says that this time the ref won’t pull her off but instead do Charlotte a favor by stopping it, Ronda goes to sign the contract but Charlotte flips over the table and attacks Ronda with a kendostick, Ronda is able to get the upperhand with Kendostick shots of herself before Gulak decides to take away the kendostick and give her the contract, Ronda flips over Gulak and locks in her signature armbar, while signing the contract at the same time to Charlotte’s dismay on the ramp.

– We get replays recapping the brawl from last week between The New Day, Butch, Ridge Holland, and Sheamus.

Match 1: Xavier Woods vs Butch 

– The Match starts off with Xavier getting two fast near falls on Butch, Xavier lands some punches on butch and hits a closeline, turning Butch inside out for another early nearfall, Butch is able to deliver a forearm to the same of Xavier, followed by multiple elbows before Butch goes to work on Xavier’s arm using “joint-manipulation”, Xavier tries for a comeback but Bucth slams him face first into the second turnbuckle, Xavier then makes a comeback, sending Butch to the outside before hitting a dropkick through the second rope, New Day and Sheamus’ crew then have an argument on the outside, allowing Butch to jump over them, taking out Xavier. Sheamus and Holland have to hold back Butch as we go to commercial break.

*Commercial break*

– We are back from commercial break as Butch is working over Xavier with more joint manipulation, Xavier makes a comeback with an explosive running forearm to Butch, Xavier puts Butch on his shoulders but Butch is able to gouge at the ear of Woods, Butch then hits a release suplex for the nearfall, Xavier is able to hit Butch with a modified DDT into a rollup (move is now being called the “backwoods” for the victory.

Winner via pinfall: Xavier Woods at 8:59.

– After the match, Butch storms into the crowd, Butch throws one of the arena security over the barricade as Sheamus and Ridge Holland continue to yell for butch.

– Ricochet and Aliyah are backstage, Aliyah runs down the list of opponents that Ricochet has beaten, Jinder Mahal and Shanky then interrupt, Jinder wants another title match but Shanky is the one who wants to fight Ricochet, Ricochet accepts.

– Next, we get Ludwig Kaiser on the ramp to introduce Gunther, Gunther makes his entrance as we go to commercial break.

Match 2: Gunther vs Teddy Goodz

– Gunther counters a dropkick attempt from Goodz before hitting a nasty big boot, Gunther then puts Goodz on the top rope before shoving his boot into the neck of Goodz, Gunther then delivers a nasty chop to the back of Goodz, followed by a sleeperhold and a powerbomb for once again another dominating victory for Gunther.

Winner via pinfall: Gunther at 2:10

– We get a video package highlighting the feud between the Bloodline and RK-Bro.

– Riddle and Randy Orton are backstage, Riddle says that he always loves to visit smackdown because he gets to visit his friends, Drew McIntyre then arrives, Riddle says that he’s going to try to mend the relationship between Drew and Orton by entering themselves as Lumberjacks in his match tonight, Orton tells Drew that they are good, we then see Sami Zayn who is creppingly hiding and listening to them.

– RK-Bro make their entrance for the next match, Riddle vs Jey Uso.

– Xia Li cuts short promo, she says that she’s done trying to protect others and that she’s only going to protect herself from now on.

Match 3: Riddle vs Jey Uso

– We see Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman watching from their locker room as we start the match, they go back-and-forth to start the match, Jey goes for a Samoan drop but Riddle turns it into a headlock, Jey is able to get out of it before landing a hard right hand to the face of Riddle, Riddle then hits a gut-wrench suplex on Jey, Riddle then goes for a running move but Jey is able to counter, landing an elbow to Riddle’s face. Jey then delivers a couple of stiff chops to the chest of Riddle, Riddle goes for a running punt to the chest of Jey but Jey rolls to the outside of the ring, Riddle goes for a dive but Jey hits him with an uppercut. Jey then throws Riddle into the steel steps, before slamming Riddle back first on the announce table as we go to commercial break.

*Commercial break*

– We are back from commercial as Jey has a headlock on Riddle, Riddle tries for a comeback but Jey lands a standing kick to the back of Riddle’s head, Riddle and Jey then exchanges punches with Riddle getting the upperhand and landing a kick to the back of Jey, Riddle goes for the bro-ton but Jey moves out of the way as we see Roman and Heyman watching once again, Riddle then hits a knee to Jey before the top-rope floating bro for the nearfall, Riddle then hits a second rope DDT to Jey but Jimmy goes for the distraction, Orton slams Jey on the announce table back first, Jey then lands a beautiful pop-up neckbreaker for the near fall, Riddle hits Jey with a knee and Jey hits a superkick, Jey climbs to the top and goes for a splash but Riddle gets his knees up, which allows Riddle to get the roll-up victory over Jey.

Winner via pinfall: Riddle at 12:12. 

– Sasha Banks and Naomi make their entrance to thank the WWE universe as we go to commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as Sasha and Naomi are in the ring with Kayla Braxton, Kayla asks them if their reign has been everything they’ve wanted it to do, Naomi says they are dominating the tag division and glowing while they do it, Sasha says that they are more than a team, they are a sisterhood, Sasha says that the Boss and Glow have no competition, Naomi says that it doesn’t matter who comes after these titles next. Natalya and Shayna Baszler interrupt, Natalya says that she’s a 3 time Guinness world record holder, Naomi says she’s in the world record as someone who loves her cats and posts bad dancing videos, Shayna threatens to break every bone in their body, Shayna then pushes Sasha down, they four stareoff to end the segment.

– Madcap Moss and Happy Corbin are backstage, Corbin wants to team up with Madcap again and forget the past, Madcap says that the chances of that happening are the same as Corbin growing his hair back.

– We get a video package putting over Raquel Gonzalez.

Match 4: Madcap Moss vs Angel

– The match starts with Madcap shoving Angel into the corner before being hit with a hard right, Humberto tries to distract Madcap but Madcap sends Angel into Humberto crashing to the outside, Humberto grabs the leg of Madcap as he’s trying to get back into the ring, allowing Angel to land a basement dropkick, Madcap is able to make a quick comeback as Humberto tires to get involved, only to get hit with a closeline from Madcap, Moss then hits the punchline on Angel for the victory.

Winner via pinfall: Madcap Moss at 2:25.

– After the match, Happy Corbin lays out Madcap with the End of Days, before stealing and carrying away the Andre memorial trophy.

– We see Sami Zayn backstage about to knock on Roman’s door as we go to another commercial break.

– We are back from commercial as we see Roman Reigns, the Usos, and Paul Heyman in his locker room, Sami Zayn enters ands asks the bloodline for help in his lunberjack match, Zayn says that he will helps Roman in return and he can be a good Allie, Zayn then says that he acknowledges Reigns, Zayn tells Roman that he heard Drew and RK-Bro talking bad about him, Roman tells the Usos to make sure they keep his name out of their mouths.

– We get part 3 of the story of Lacey Evans, she says the more money her dad made the more drugs and anger came with it, she says that her mom wasn’t there and she was left sobbing in a pile of dirty clothes, Lacey claims that she does her own makeup because if you want something done right you do it yourself, Lacey then says that she started amateur wrestling af age 15 and when you realize you have nothing to lose you become unstoppable, she says that finding her dad passed out with a cigarette in his hand made her motivated to reach her goals.

Match 5: Lumberjack match: Drew McIntyre vs Sami Zayn

– Before the match can start, The Usos come out to the delight of Sami, Zayn immediately tries to leave but is thrown back in, Sami once again tries to escape and run through the crowd but is carried back to the ring, Drew throws Sami into the corner and delivers a handful of punches and chops, Drew goes for a cloeline but is sent to the outside, Sheamus and Ridge Holland beat down on Drew as all lumberjacks face off as we go to commercial break.

*Commercial break*

– We are back from commercial as Sami is choking Drew against the second rope, Drew is once again sent out, allowing Sheamus and Ridge to beat down on Drew for a second time, Drew is able to land a Glasgow kiss on Sami, Drew then delivers two belly-to-belly suplexes on Sami followed by a neckbreaker, Drew goes for the claymore but Sami rolls to the outside, The Usos then take out Orton with a superkick before sending Orton face first into the post, all hell breaks lose as all the Lumberjacks start fighting, Drew stops Sami from escaping through the crowd but Drew is once again attacked by Ridge, Sheamus, and Jinder. Drew then dives over the top rope, taking out all of the lumberjacks, Sami Zayn finally finds an opportunity to escape and runs through the crowd, Adam Pearce comes out and announces that Sami will face Drew in a steel cage next week on smackdown, Jinder Mahal then attacks Drew from behind, Shanky joins in but Drew is able to fight them both off, Drew hits Jinder with the claymore kick to end the show.

Drew McIntyre vs Sami Zayn ends in a no contest.
