WWE getting aggressive with indy scouting, specifically Lucha Underground talent

WWE is aggressively going after independent wrestlers that can contractually leave. Internally, the word is that they want people that are considered coachable and they are being very strict with background checks.

I want to make a note here that if you have any doubts about your past social media posts and you want to sign with WWE then it would be a good idea to use the “Tweet Delete” website and bulk delete all of your past social media posts and start from scratch. As shown in the past, anyone can dig up anything no matter how obscure it may seem and it takes just one negative tweet for WWE to pass on a signing.

Also, they are specifically targeting names from Lucha Underground that can contractually leave. The biggest name so far to leave LU is Ricochet (Prince Puma) but he’s not expected in WWE until later this year or early 2017. I am sure that some of the guys in the Cruiserweight Classic will be offered deals and Kota Ibushi told Weekly Pro Wrestling that Triple H and Funaki called him before the tournament because they wanted to sign him. Ibushi had turned down their initial offer but eventually accepted the offer after they pushed harder.
