WWE has changed the names of two NXT wrestlers. Chad Lail, who some of you might remember as Gunner in TNA Wrestling, will now be known as Jaxson Ryker.
Former ROH star Donovan Dijak will now be known as Dominik Dijakovic. He had recently used his real name, Chris Dijak, on some NXT shows.
Dijakovic was signed to a WWE contract last year after his 2014-2017 run with Ring Of Honor.
Ryker has been wrestling since 2001 and was signed to a contract with TNA Wrestling in 2010. During his early days with the company, he was part of Hulk Hogan’s “Immortal” faction. He’s a former TNA Television Champion and a former TNA World Tag Team Champion with James Storm. He signed with WWE last May but has yet to be featured on television.
During a recent live event in Dallas, TX, Ryker was supposed to be a heel during a match with Khassius Ohno but an audible was called because the crowd booed Ohno and cheered Ryker and the heel/babyface roles were reversed with Ryker going over on Ohno due to the crowd reaction. Ryker has a small role in the movie “Game Night.”
