The WWE Universal Championship between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns was slotted in the semi-main event spot before the 50-Man Greatest Royal Rumble match. Paul Heyman was there and he did his usual introduction for his client.
The match started out with Lesnar hitting several German suplexes and an F5. Reigns was able to mount a comeback and he tried to escape but Lesnar caught up to him. Backstage, Samoa Joe watched the match on a monitor. Reigns took over the match and he hit a few spears on Lesnar. Reigns went to pin him but Lesnar got his shoulder up after taking 3 spears. Reigns tried to leave through the door but Heyman shut it on his face.
Lesnar was going to hit Reigns with a chair but Reigns caught him with a 4th spear. Lesnar kicked out of the pin attempt. Reigns then nailed Lesnar over the back with the chair several times. Reigns hit Lesnar with the Superman punch and then speared Lesnar through the side of the cage. Both men hit the floor. Lesnar is still champ because he hit the floor first.
