WWE Greatest Royal Rumble results: Braun Strowman, John Cena vs. Triple H, Lesnar retains, The Undertaker buries Rusev

WWE Greatest Royal Rumble
April 27, 2018
Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
King Abdullah Sports City

We are live with coverage of the Greatest Royal Rumble show. Please refresh this page for updated results or click here if you are having issues seeing the latest results. We will update this page every few minutes with lightning-fast results.

John Cena vs. Triple H
Corey Graves said that both Cena and Triple H requested to open the show. The match had a bunch of false finishes including Triple H kicking out after getting hit with the AA. The fans were into everything so that helped the match as well. Cena kicked out after Triple H hit him with the pedigree. Cena finally got the pin after hitting another AA as the fans went crazy. Cena grabbed the mic and thanked the fans in attendance for this historic night.

Cruiserweight Championship
Cedric Alexander (Champion) vs. Kalisto
Alexander retained the title. Good, fast-paced match but the crowd didn’t seem into it. Maybe they didn’t know who the wrestlers in the match are. I don’t think most fans in Saudi Arabia follow 205 Live.

Raw Tag Team Championship
Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy vs. The Bar
Hardy hit the Twist of Fate on Sheamus and got the pin. New champs = Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy. Decent match.

United States Championship
Jeff Hardy (Champion) vs. Jinder Mahal
These two do not gel together in the ring. There was an awkward spot where Hardy attempted a Whisper in the Wind off the top rope. Hardy completely missed but Mahal still took a bump. The announcers tried to cover for it but it was clear that Hardy completely missed him. Hardy won after hitting the Twist of Fate and then the Swanton off the top. Hardy retains.

They showed a video to show some of the cultural progress in Saudi Arabia, including women now being allowed to drive. Then they cut over to a backstage interview with Chris Jericho. There was also a backstage interview with Daniel Bryan.

Smackdown Tag Team Championship
The Bludgeon Brothers (Champions) vs. The Usos
Basic match. Usos got in the early offense but Harper and Rowan overwhelmed them with double team moves towards the final minutes of the match. The Bludgeon Brothers retain.

Intercontinental Championship – Ladder Match
Seth Rollins (Champion) vs. The Miz vs. Finn Balor vs. Samoa Joe
Rollins retained the title after a battle with Balor on the ladder. Click here for more on this match.

They showed footage from tryouts that took place in Saudi Arabia. Then they cut to the ring to spotlight 4 prospects in the ring. Ariya Daivari and brother Shawn Daivari interrupted them. You know what happened next. They were attacked by the young prospects and that got a pop from the crowd.

WWE Championship
AJ Styles (Champion) vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
The match was fine but it ended with a double count out. Styles attacked Nakamura after the match. Click here for more on what happened during this match.

Casket Match
The Undertaker vs. Rusev
Aiden English tried to interfere in the match but it backfired. He got a chokeslam and a tombstone. Taker stuffed English and Rusev into the casket. Taker won. Click here for more details on this match.

WWE Universal Championship – Steel Cage Match
Brock Lesnar (Champion) vs. Roman Reigns
Reigns got a decent reaction as he made his way to the ring. I didn’t hear anyone booing him. Michael Cole pointed out that Lesnar has never been beaten in a Steel Cage match. The end was Reigns hitting a massive spear on Lesnar. They went through the side of the cage. The referee ruled that Lesnar won because he hit the floor first. Click here for more on what happened during this match.
