WWE had plans to give Hornswoggle a New Jersey accent and reveal him as the anonymous Raw General Manager

Former WWE Superstar Hornswoggle was interviewed this week on The New Day’s podcast. Swoggle tells stories about his rampant nudity, Big E’s infamous punt, the ill-fated plans for “Big Nick from Joisey,” and much more.

Here are some highlights:

Hornswoggle said he was going to be the anonymous General Manager of Raw, which contradicts what Arn Anderson said last week. Arn said that WWE had no plans for anyone to fill that role. Hornswoggle said the following:  “They call me the Saturday before Raw and they say you are going to be revealed on Monday as the anonymous Raw General Manager. They said can you do a Jersey accent and I said, I don’t think so but I can try. The only thing I can think of for a Jersey accent was the baby on Roger Rabbit because he had that weird mafia thing so I kept watching that scene over and over. I was trying to develop this character. It failed so much in rehearsals that I kept trying backstage and finally, the writer, Nick, came up to me and said, it’s not happening. You are just going to come up from the ring. Lawler is going to say, hey it was you and you will bite him in the ass or something. That was it. That was the big reveal for the general manager.”

Hornswoggle talked about his upcoming book called “Life is short and so am I”:  “It was a project I never thought I would do but always wanted to. It was 3 years in the making and a lot of work went into it. A lot of weird memories got brought up, positive and negative. There is a lot of stuff with me and my mom, my real mom, that I got to vent about. It was very healing in a weird way that I finally got to tell stories in there and let them free and let them go. Then the publishing company was asking who I want to do the forward with like Jericho or Cena? From the start, I said I want Kofi and Hawkins to do it. They said, ok, but can we get a third and I said, no, I want my friends to do it.  It was very important to me.”
