It was reported that WWE was short-handed for last week’s episode of Raw as a couple of wrestlers was sidelined as a precaution due to COVID-19 symptoms. It wasn’t mentioned whether these stars actually tested positive for COVID, but the brand “was just short-handed in general.”
Many fans picked up on how it seemed WWE booked a similar show for Monday’s Raw as last week’s edition of WWE’s flagship show.
On today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, Bryan Alvarez stated that he didn’t know whether WWE had another COVID outbreak, but there were the same matches on Monday’s Raw as last week.
Dave Meltzer immediately followed up with, “well we did, I mean there was. That was part of it. I don’t know who it was, because they won’t tell you, but yeah there was.”
Alvarez stated that while WWE won’t tell you who tested positive or is in quarantine due to COVID protocols, there are people obviously missing as there are the same matches with the same people on the show.
