WWE Had To Change Original Finish To Bad Blood Match

Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley, with Dominik Mysterio in a shark cage, took place at the WWE Bad Blood Premium Live Event at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, GA. However, things didn’t go according to plan.

Mysterio fell out of the cage down the stretch and was hanging from his ankle. Ripley got a kendo stick to hit Mysterio with it. Raquel Rodriguez returned from hiatus and attacked Ripley from behind before laying out Ripley with a powerbomb. Raquel put Morgan on top of Ripley after the bell rang, indicating a DQ.

Rodriguez had been away from WWE for several months as she continued to battle Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). Her last match was a win over Chelsea Green in a squash match on the February 26 episode of Monday Night Raw. Following that, she was pulled from television.

Fightful Select reports, “It was implied that the original finish to Rhea vs. Liv was Liv winning with Raquel’s help. However the referee couldn’t justify not doing a DQ finish as he saw everything unfold.”

WWE will have the fallout from this angle on Monday’s Raw.
