WWE Hall of Famer Ricky Morton is heading to the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida this week to teach and train talent, with the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express legend confirming the visit on social media.
Dave Meltzer first noted in a daily update that Morton was scheduled to work at the PC before Morton himself confirmed the news on X. “Orlando, Florida for the week,” Morton wrote. “Fortunate to be able to teach, train, and give back. Catch ya soon, PC.”
Morton, 69, expressed genuine enthusiasm for the opportunity to share his knowledge with the next generation of WWE performers. Morton is best known for his legendary tag team partnership with Robert Gibson as The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, one of the most beloved and influential tag teams in the history of professional wrestling.
The duo made their names primarily in the NWA during the 1980s, where their rivalry with The Midnight Express is still widely cited as a benchmark for tag team wrestling storytelling.
The Rock ‘n’ Roll Express was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2017 in recognition of their lasting contributions to the business. In addition to their WWE history, the duo has also made appearances in NJPW and AEW in recent years, demonstrating the enduring respect the wrestling world holds for their legacy.
Morton’s visit to the Performance Center follows a pattern of WWE bringing in veterans and legends to share their expertise with developmental talent, a practice that has become an increasingly common to help train younger talent.
Orlando, Florida for the week!
Fortunate to be able to teach, train, & give back. 🤟
Catch ya soon, PC.
