WWE Hall of Famer Reveals What Triple H Told Him About R-Truth Storyline

WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash has weighed in on the whirlwind R-Truth/Ron Killings storyline, stating his belief that the entire angle—from his reported release to his triumphant return—was a planned “work” all along. On his “Kliq This” podcast, Nash pointed to the seemingly perfect timing of merchandise and a conversation with Paul “Triple H” Levesque as evidence that fans were witnessing a masterful piece of storytelling, not a real-life course correction.

The discussion began when a fan suggested that Nash and others had been “worked” by the angle. Nash laid out his case, starting with the t-shirt Killings wore during his segment with John Cena. “You tell me when a guy comes out to work with Cena… and his shirt says ‘R-Truth, you’ll never see me again.’ Like, that’s just, that’s the t-shirt,” Nash explained. “So let’s look at it from from the standpoint of the machine. If it just so happens that because Cena says, ‘You can’t See me,’ and it’s the farewell tour, the machine has to make an identical shirt, just for the fact that they’re going to use it… But unless you had thoughts that this thing would sell, you sure as hell wouldn’t have had four or 5,000 of them at the fucking arena.”

Nash also questioned the speed at which news of the shirt’s success came out. “They say things like they just got rid of them, and he’s got the number one selling t-shirt. How the f**k was that information out before f**king we even knew he was gone or not?” he asked rhetorically.

The most telling piece of evidence, according to Nash, came directly from WWE’s Chief Content Officer. Nash revealed that he had spoken to Triple H about the situation and was given a specific instruction that suggested everything was going according to plan.

“Paul told me not to get involved in this,” Nash stated. “I don’t want to ruin the story for anybody. So hope you’re enjoying… Just enjoy the show. Enjoy the show. That’s what Paul said. Just enjoy the show.” Nash concluded that while a reactive “audible” would have been a great story, the evidence points toward a well-planned and brilliantly executed work.
