Several WWE Hall of Famers and Legends will be in town for the Royal Rumble this weekend, whether to do something for the company or make appearances at conventions.
That includes Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, who is slated to be in Indianapolis as part of the Wrestlecon event. He’s only advertised for Saturday’s Wrestlecon show.
Fightful reports “Angle told those close with him that WWE had contacted him regarding participation in something for this week’s WWE Royal Rumble.” It was stressed that it’s unclear whether this was something specifically about the Royal Rumble match or making an appearance.
WWE may want him to film material for future documentaries. On Raw is XXX on January 23, 2023, Angle appeared in a segment with D-Generation X before working as the special guest referee in a six-man tag team match. This marked his most recent appearance on WWE TV.
