We are sad to report that WWE Hall Of Famer has passed away at the age of 69.

Finkel is considered to be by many wrestling fans to be the greatest ring announcer of all-time. He had been dealing with health issues in recent years and limited his public appearances.

Finkel was the longest-tenured WWE employee and was still considered employee up until the time of his passing even though he had to pull back from his duties because of his health. He started with the company in 1977 and became a full-time ring announcer in 1979. He was there to announce some of the biggest matches in the history of the company including Andre The Giant vs. Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania III and Hulk Hogan vs. The Rock at WrestleMania X8, among many other legendary matches.

Finkel was eventually transitioned into a behind-the-scenes role at the company offices in Stamford, CT and he was respected by everyone in the business. On behalf of everyone here at WrestlingNews.co, we send our deepest condolences to his friends and family at this time.
