WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley took to Twitter this evening to make a plea to President Donald Trump.
Foley is calling on Trump to admit that he’s made a mistake with the way he’s handled the coronavirus pandemic. He called on Trump to ask his followers to adhere to social distancing recommendations and for them to wear masks instead of mocking people who follow the guidelines.
Foley said Trump would be regarded as a winner if he does the right thing, even if he loses the election. He ended by telling Trump to feel better.
Foley has been outspoken about how Trump has handled the pandemic and has said that he would not be voting for him. Foley joins The Rock as one of the highest-profile names in wrestling to speak out against Trump.
Foley’s full video statement can be seen below.
AN URGENT APPEAL TO @realDonaldTrump
This is NOT a joke, Mr President. This is me asking you to do the right thing – to URGE your followers to wear masks and socially distance. pic.twitter.com/HMq7yPyyQx
