WWE Hall Of Famer Mr. Fuji passes away

WWE is reporting that WWE Hall Of Famer Harry Fujiwara, known to fans as Mr. Fuji, passed away on Sunday morning at the age of 82.

Fuji was a former WWWF Tag Team Champion with Toru Tanaka and Mr. Saito. He was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame in 2007. He also wrestled for several territories throughout the 60s and 70s. Fuji won championships in several promotions including Pacific Northwest Wrestling, Puerto Rico’s WWC promotion, Georgia Championship Wrestling and Continental Wrestling Association with Toru Tanaka.

Most fans would remember him for his 80s and 90s run as the evil salt-throwing manager. He managed names like Kamala, Demolition, The Powers Of Pain, Yokozuna and Don Muraco. His role on WWF/E television began to diminish towards the mid-90s as his health began to decline.

We send our condolences to his friends and family.
