WWE Hall Of Famer Road Warrior Animal has passed away
We are sad to report that Joe Laurinaitis, better known as Road Warrior Animal, has passed away at the age of 60.
The news broke via his brother Marcus’ Facebook account. There are no other details available on the cause of death.
This is obviously a huge loss for the millions of fans that grew up watching the Road Warriors, considered by most people to be the greatest tag team in the history of pro wrestling.
Animal and Hawk dominated professional wrestling during their years with the NWA and AWA in the 1980s before moving onto the World Wrestling Federation in 1990.
They eventually went back to WCW after splitting up for a couple of years and went on to win more titles. Animal and Hawk wrestled all around the world for several promotions and they won titles everywhere they went. The team was profiled on Vice’s Dark Side Of The Ring earlier this year.
We send our deepest condolences to Animal’s friends and family during this difficult time.
At this time, we would like to confirm the passing of Joseph Laurinaitis aka Road Warrior Animal at the age of 60. The family is planning to release a statement later today. At this time we ask for you to keep everyone in your thoughts and prayers. #OhWhatARush
