WWE Hall Of Famer to appear on Japan shows, two names getting WWE deals

- WWE Hall of Famer Tatsumi Fujinami will be the special guest on the July 3rd and 4th shows at Sumo Hall in Japan. The July 3rd show will feature Chris Jericho vs. Finn Balor on the card. Jericho wanted to wrestle Hideo Itami but those plans were scrapped when Itami got hurt so Jericho asked for Balor. Jericho vs. Balor was supposed to take place on July 4th but since WWE wanted Balor to challenge Kevin Owens for the NXT title, the decision was made to do Jericho vs. Balor on the 3rd. It looks like Balor will end up winning the title on the July 4th show. That is also the show that will air live on the WWE Network. The only thing advertised on WWE TV was that Brock Lesnar would be there. Lesnar will be wrestling Kofi Kingston on that show. The show will also be airing on J Sports in Japan.

- The Wrestling Observer newsletter reports that Mikey Nicholls and Shane Haste were offered contracts. They were at the recent WWE tryouts. Basically, they are just waiting on visa paperwork and medicals to go through. Haste is currently dealing with a knee injury.
