WWE has announced a new member of the broadcast team debuting tonight on Friday Night SmackDown.
Former New England Patriots broadcaster Megan O’Brien has joined the company and she will start on tonight’s show. She will be using the name Megan Morant in WWE.
“I can’t begin to express how excited I am to join WWE,” O’Brien said in an interview with WWE.com. “From the incredibly athletic Superstars to the creative minds behind the scenes, WWE has set the standard in the world of global entertainment. The passion WWE has for its fans reminds me of why I chose this industry, to entertain and connect people from all walks of life. I’m forever grateful for this opportunity and ready to hit the ground running. Let’s go!”
O’Brien worked as a digital correspondent for the Big East Conference before she worked for the New England Patriots.
The recent changes on WWE’s broadcast team were spearheaded by Nick Khan.
Pat McAfee debuted last week as part of the SmackDown announce team and Adnan Virk is now the lead announcer on Monday Night Raw. Kevin Egan (now known as Kevin Patrick) does backstage interviews on Raw and he hosts Raw Talk.
