Dash Wilder of the Revival is staying under contract with WWE for longer than he expected as the company has extended his contract.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE has extended Wilder’s contract another ten weeks due to the period he was out of action in 2016 with a broken jaw.
Scott Dawson’s contract is still expected to expire in April but Wilder will have to wait a bit longer.
This comes after a few months ago there was a rumor that suggested WWE added some extra time to Luke Harper’s contract due to him taking time off due to an injury.
For those who may not know, WWE has a clause in its talent contracts that allows WWE to extend them for the time that a Superstar misses.
It’s been reported that The Revival turned down a big money offer by WWE that was a contract that would have lasted for 5 years, $500,000 per year. Each star turned down $2.5 million.
As of this writing, The Revival has yet to sign new deals with the company despite them recently winning the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
