WWE has already changed their WrestleMania 36 plans for Becky Lynch

Becky Lynch

Vince McMahon has already changed his mind on what he wants to do with Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36.

The original idea was to keep her away from Charlotte Flair to build a match for next year. The story was that Lynch won the WrestleMania 35 main event but she pinned Ronda Rousey and not Flair.

However, the decision was made to have Lynch vs. Flair wrestle in a few weeks at the Money In The Bank pay-per-view because there is a different match planned next year for Lynch.

There aren't many details available other than Lynch is slotted to be the top woman at Mania 36 and her opponent is not scheduled to be Flair or Rousey at this point. It's not a guarantee that Rousey will be back at that point and she has said that it's not a lock that she'll be back at all. Everything will depend on how she feels after she has a baby.

Dave Meltzer notes that a match with Rousey is not out of the question if Rousey wants it but that is not the current plan.

It will be interesting to see what WWE comes up with for Lynch's opponent next year. If she is going to be the top woman on the show then they would have to get an opponent with name value. Cris Cyborg has wanted a match with Lynch for years but WWE seemingly hasn't shown interest.
