For those of you that missed Hideo Itami’s GTS that put Brian Kendrick out of action on Raw, then you can click here if you want to see it. That might be the last time that you’ll see the move on WWE programming. At the very least, if the move is not completely banned, then it might just be used on special occasions. Kendrick is currently out of action with a broken orbital bone and a broken nose.
On this week’s episode of 205 Live, Itami had a long match with Jack Gallagher. Itami is clearly headed towards a heel turn soon because he was told to yell “respect me” over and over during his matches. He was saying that when he was a heel on NXT. Anyway, Itami won the match but he didn’t execute the GTS. He won the match with the Rings of Saturn submission, which is Neville’s old finisher. That is another sign that WWE is not expecting to work out a deal to bring him back.
Regardless of how popular the move might be with fans, it might be a good idea to only use it on big shows because it’s not worth someone risking a head injury.
