WWE has big plans for Finn Balor

We are still in October but many are already looking ahead to the Royal Rumble, the show that is considered to be the start of WrestleMania season. The 2018 edition of the Rumble will take place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, PA and it will be a big weekend for WWE with four consecutive shows taking place at the same venue. NXT Takeover, Royal Rumble, Raw, and Smackdown Live will be held in the same city as part of another mega-weekend for the company and that is the weekend when some of the main matches for Mania begin to take shape.

We already know that Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns is scheduled for Mania but there are a couple of names lined up for The Beast before his big match. As many of you know, he is booked for a non-title Champion vs. Champion match at the Survivor Series. The mentality is that it’s not being considered to be a major match and this is just one step to get Lesnar to bigger matches.

Finn Balor is the name being talked about as Lesnar’s opponent for the Rumble PPV. Balor vs. Lesnar had been teased weeks ago and he was in the plans months ago but injuries caused WWE to reshuffle plans so things got delayed. WWE also had names like Braun Stowman and Seth Rollins scheduled for feuds with Lesnar to occupy his time until his feud with Reigns so we’ll see what happens.

As far as the plans for Jinder Mahal, he is going to feud with AJ Styles after Survivor Series and he is booked for matches with Kevin Owens when they head to India in December. After that, it appears that he will wrestle John Cena at WrestleMania. Last week, Mahal issued the challenge to Cena during a video Q&A session.
