Lacey Evans made a brief appearance at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Her theme music played and then she briefly walked down the aisle before returning to the backstage area. The idea is that she was there to “class” things up. Vince McMahon has big plans for her, per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio.
“So, Lacey Evans is getting a super big push,” Meltzer said. “That is what that is all about.”
Her brief segment at the Chamber pay-per-view was done to give her exposure and to get across to fans that she is a big deal. Meltzer added, “The plan is a super big push … I know people who are pretty smart in this business who think the world of her potential. I do think she plays her character real well.”
The problem with pushing Evans right now is that she is still green and it may have been too early to bring her up to the main roster. We’ll see how things play out with her because it looks like McMahon is a big fan.
