WWE has big plans for Ronda Rousey, if she decides to return to the ring

WWE has plans to keep Ronda Rousey strong when she returns to the ring.

Rousey, one of WWE’s biggest draws, is currently on a sabbatical and is hoping to get pregnant. At this time, there is nothing new on when she will return to WWE television but she is keeping busy in a recurring role on the set of FOX’s ‘9-1-1’ TV show.

Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that, as of a month ago, WWE does not want Rousey to do a one-off appearance such as the first SmackDown Live show on FOX. So, in theory, that would rule her out for October 2nd.

Of course, that can change at any time and it’s not out of the realm of possibility that WWE will call her to make an appearance on the first FOX show. It would make sense to have her on the show since they will be in Los Angeles and Rousey lives in the area.

Meltzer noted that there is still no word on if she will return and she has said that she doesn’t know if returning to the ring is what she will do. Meltzer added that the belief in WWE is that if she returns then she would work a more limited schedule than before and be booked more as an attraction.

So basically, she would be booked like Goldberg or The Undertaker.

For those of you wondering, WWE currently does not have booking plans for Rousey at WrestleMania 36 in Tampa, Florida. Becky Lynch is going to be in one of the main events on the show and Rousey is not the current plan to be her opponent.
