Although the road to get to the top matches at WrestleMania 38 has changed, WWE is still on course to go through with their original plans.
Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the top matches for the women at WrestleMania will see Charlotte Flair vs. Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Title and Becky Lynch vs. Bianca Belair for the Raw Women’s Championship.
Flair has added herself to the Women’s Royal Rumble match so she can pick her own opponent while Banks is sidelined due to an injury she suffered at a house show that will keep her out of action for a few weeks.
Lynch will be defending the Raw Women’s Title against Doudrop at the Royal Rumble after the former NXT UK star beat Belair and Liv Morgan in a triple threat match this past Monday night on Raw to become the new #1 contender for the title. Belair has yet to add herself to the Women’s Royal Rumble match, but that will happen in the coming weeks.
