The 10-man tag team match on Monday Night Raw might have been the end for Trish Stratus and Lita for now but there are plans for them to return in the next couple of months.
Mike Johnson reported today that there has been talk of doing more with them in early 2019 and there are plans for them at WrestleMania.
Johnson said this on PWInsider audio: “We’ve heard that beginning of next year there are plans for them. There was an early plan for them for WrestleMania. There was talk of Lita and Trish in a big tag match for WrestleMania.”
There are no other details available on what WWE has in store for them but I would not rule them out for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. As we reported on Monday, WWE has been handing out “We Want Women’s Tag Championships” signs at shows over the past week. There were signs handed out at Evolution and on Raw last night.
WWE has also let talent know that they are free to talk about the Tag Title rumors because they want to build the fan support before the belts are officially introduced.
On this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw, Trish and Lita wore their new t-shirts over their ring gear and we’re told more merchandise is in the works for them.
