WWE Has Brought Back A Former Star To Be NXT Player-Coach

Lince Dorado has made his return to WWE, where he worked Friday’s NXT house show in Circus Springs. There had been speculation that he was signing with a top promotion as he had recently stepped down as the Lucha Premier Champion.

Dorado began his career in 2007, wrestling in various independent promotions before working WWE Cruiserweight Classic Tournament in 2016. Following this, he signed with WWE and became part of the 205 Live roster.

He formed the popular team Lucha House Party with Gran Metalik and Kalisto. After his WWE release in 2021, Dorado returned to the independent circuit.

While speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted Dorado has been brought back to be a player-coach for the NXT brand.

Meltzer said, “So he debuted last night. I think Citrus Springs, Florida….he has been hired as a coach. So that’s the deal there. He’s going to work at the Performance Center, and I guess, you know, do some matches as well. So that’s the story.”
