WWE has decided to hold off on doing a major storyline

An interesting report surfaced on Thursday that states WWE officials had a big storyline that was supposed to play out over this spring and summer.

WrestleVotes reported that due to the coronavirus outbreak that has forced WWE to hold empty arena shows without fans, this storyline has been put on hold. It was described as being as big as the Nexus invasion debut and Vince McMahon limousine explosion angles.

It all comes down to there being no fans in attendance to give a reaction to the angle. Thus, the reason it was placed on hold.

As of this writing, there’s no word yet on what WWE exactly had planned for this storyline or when WWE will allow fans back at TV events. Things are constantly changing with the coronavirus.

“FWIW: I’ve been told there was a long major storyline that was to unfold over the span of weeks during the spring & summer, similar to the McMahon limo explosion or the Nexus invasion debut, that was put on hold due to no fans in attendance. Crowd reaction plays a major part.”
