WWE is reportedly exploring significant celebrity involvement for its upcoming Money in the Bank event, with PWInsider.com detailing creative pitches for musician Travis Scott.
The site indicates there’s a “belief in creative circles that musician Travis Scott will be available for Money in the Bank,” with initial ideas suggesting he could team with WWE Champion John Cena. Pitches “for he and Cena teaming in either a tag match or six-man tag of some sort” have reportedly been discussed. This news surfaces as Scott has also “been training off and on with Booker T in Texas.”
A more specific and star-studded six-man tag team concept has also been floated internally. PWInsider.com further reported that one pitch being considered “would have seen Logan Paul teaming with Cena and Scott, presumably against The Usos and Cody [Rhodes].”
While the report notes, “One would think that would mean Cody Rhodes would be on the opposing side” in any scenario involving a Cena/Scott team, the addition of Logan Paul and The Usos would create a blockbuster attraction.
However, these high-profile plans are currently creative ideas under discussion. PWInsider.com stated the preliminary nature of these talks, stating, “Whether WWE goes in that direction remains to be seen.”
