WWE Has Discussed The TV Return Of Absent Star

An absent talent could soon be back on WWE television.

Raquel Rodriguez signed with WWE in 2016, where she has found a lot of success and held several titles. Throughout her WWE tenure, she has been a one-time NXT Women’s Champion, a three-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion and a two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion.

This past January, Rodriguez announced that she’d been diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS). The American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology notes mass cell activation syndrome is “a condition in which the patient experiences repeated episodes of the symptoms of anaphylaxis – allergic symptoms such as hives, swelling, low blood pressure, difficulty breathing and severe diarrhea. High levels of mast cell mediators are released during those episodes.”

She took time off from WWE because of it, only to return in February,  winning a last-chance battle royal to qualify for the Women’s Elimination Chamber Match. She fell short in the bout. Her condition flared up ahead of the show, but she did move forward by beating Chelsea Green in a squash match on the February 26 episode of Monday Night Raw. However, she was pulled from WWE TV again.

PWInsider reports there have been discussions internally about Rodriguez returning to WWE TV in the near future. However, it’s unclear when exactly Rodriguez could be back.
