On November 19, WWE filed an application for the trademark for “Edge.” It’s currently in Live/Pending status.
Obviously, that’s the name AEW star Adam Copeland used in WWE but it doesn’t necessarily mean anything and this could just be WWE protecting their intellectual property since the “Edge” name is a name they created.
As for Adam Copeland’s status, he’s been out of action after suffering a fractured tibia during a barbed wire steel cage match with Malakai Black at Double or Nothing in May. There’s no word on when he will be back in action.
