UPDATE: Since the earlier story was posted, word has gotten out that WWE has fired John Laurinaitis.
PWInsider reports that his termination happened within the last week or so and it was kept quiet to just a small number of people.
Laurinaitis had been with the company since March 2001 after the purchase of WCW. A couple of months later he was promoted to the Director of Talent Relations and in 2009 he became the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations.
He also appeared off and on camera in authority roles and he was featured regularly on the E! series "Total Bellas" with his wife Kathy and daughters-in-law Nikki and Brie Bella.
ORIGINAL: John Laurinaitis' days with WWE appear to be coming to an end. While he hasn't been seen backstage in several weeks, Laurinaitis is still officially with the company, reports PWInsider.
Their report states that internally the belief is that he will be done with WWE after the Board of Directors complete their investigation into him and Vince McMahon for alleged sexual misconduct.
Furthermore, Laurinaitis' email and company cell phone have been disconnected. This is what WWE did with employees that were furloughed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Given the allegations and Triple H taking over as Head of Creative, it seems to be just a matter of time until Laurinaitis is officially let go.
As for any future changes, no one seems to know but for anyone wondering, Kevin Dunn is still with the company. Wade Keller recently reported that there are people in the company that expect Dunn to eventually leave the company, perhaps by the end of the year.
As noted earlier, Vince McMahon has not been seen at company headquarters since his resignation. Click here for more on Vince McMahon and some of the rumors that have been going around as of late.
