WWE Has Future Plans For Goldberg

At WWE Bad Blood, World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER came out for a promo to promote his upcoming Crown Jewel Match against Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes on November 2nd. This sparked a confrontation between GUNTHER and Goldberg.

GUNTHER said that he lied about Goldberg, who was sitting ringside with his family, being his favorite wrestler a few weeks on Raw while talking to Bret Hart. He hoped Goldberg was a better father than a pro wrestler. Goldberg jumped the barricade before being held back.

This led to fans thinking WWE was planning a match between the two. In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Goldberg vs. GUNTHER is not scheduled for Survivor Series or WrestleMania.

On a recent edition of a Backstage Pass Q&A, it was asked whether they thought Goldberg may show up and interfere in GUNTHER’s Crown Jewel match. While that idea wasn’t confirmed, it was said that WWE has future plans for Goldberg.

WrestleVotes stated, “Yes, I don’t know for sure, but there are plans for Goldberg in the future, yes.”

WWE has plenty of open spots to do the match, including Saturday Night’s Main Event, Royal Rumble, and the February Saudi Arabia show.
