Michael Cole continues to climb up the corporate ladder of WWE.
On Monday, PWinsider.com reported that the longtime WWE announcer has received a promotion in the company as he gained a new corporate title, Vice President of Announcing. Per the report, the promotion officially took place several weeks ago.
Cole has been under contract with WWE since 1997 and since that time, he has worked as a backstage interviewer as well as a play-by-play announcer on WWE television.
He has been the company's primary announcer for several years now after taking over for WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross. In recent years, he has gained a bigger role in the company where he helps out behind the scenes. This includes hiring, mentoring and producing announcing talents.
