Earlier this year, Bad Bunny got fans talking when he claimed that WWE would host Backlash in Mexico, but he didn’t clarify when or where it would take place.
This was quickly debunked, as multiple reports noted no current plans for that event to emanate from Mexico. However, it led to fans speculating that WWE could hold another event in the country in the near future. WrestleVotes previously reported that WWE holding a PLE in Mexico in 2026 is highly possible.
On a recent edition of SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Q&A, WrestleVotes reported that the idea of holding a PLE in Mexico has been discussed heavily.
“Mexico has been discussed heavily. I don’t know if it’s official. The London thing is always there. They’re always wanting shows. They always put themselves out there to get big shows. Look, WWE is gonna go where they make the most money. Intnationally has been selling out just as much as domestic.”
