WWE has locked in the dates for the Queen of the Ring tournament

WWE is moving forward with its plans to hold a Queen of the Ring tournament this year.

Last week, it was reported that WWE had tentative plans for the tournament to feature main roster talent with it airing on Peacock. At the time, it was unknown when it would exactly take place.

On Tuesday, Andrew Zarian of the Mat Men Podcast reported that the tournament will start in October on Raw and SmackDown. It’s still unclear when the finals will take place.

Zarian wrote, “Hearing that the Queen of the Ring tournament is currently scheduled to start on 10/8 Smackdown & 10/11 Raw.”

WWE held its first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view, Evolution, in October 2018 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, in Uniondale, New York, and was headlined by Nikki Bella vs. Ronda Rousey.

Unlike the original tournament that would take place in one night, recent King of the Ring tournaments have had matches take place over the course of several weeks or days and it looks like the women’s version of the tournament will follow that same template.
