WWE has made a big change to SmackDown TV event at Madison Square Garden

WWE previously confirmed its plans to hold a SmackDown TV event on Friday, September 10th at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

On Friday, it was revealed that Raw stars will also appear at the event as WWE is now billing their return to The World’s Most Famous Arena as a Super SmackDown. Because of the brand split, pay-per-view events are usually the only shows that feature both Raw and SmackDown stars.

Tickets went on sale to the general public this morning. The arena is requiring fans over the age of 16 to have proof of their COVID-19 vaccinations in order to attend the show. This is not a decision made by WWE.

WWE had Universal Champion Roman Reigns take to Twitter to comment on the change:

For decades, MSG was considered the home of WWE due to the promotion running so many shows at the venue.
