WWE Has Nixed Plans To Change Judgment Day’s Name After Fan Backlash

Fans won’t have to worry about the proposed name for the new Judgment Day faction as plans have been changed.

The group has come a long way from the initial concept. It was originally led by Edge, who brought in Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. The now-AEW star wanted out of the group, leading to Finn Balor replacing him, and they later added Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh.

In recent months, Carlito has also been associated with the group. However, some members have split away from the group coming out of SummerSlam. Balor cost Priest his World Title against Gunther, while Dominik turned his back on Ripley by aligning with Liv Morgan and helping her beat Ripley to retain her Women’s World Title.

WrestleVotes reported earlier this week that WWE was planning to rebrand Judgment Day, with one idea being “Street Trash.” Fans reacted negatively and criticized the new name.

WrestleVotes reported today that the group will remain as Judgment Day and the “Street Trash” idea came directly from Finn Balor.
