WWE has been hyping for months that Veer Mahaan will be “coming to” Monday Night Raw. It’s expected that he is getting repackaged but there doesn’t seem to be a firm timetable for his re-debut.
There had been some speculation that perhaps, WWE is waiting to debut him in the Men’s Royal Rumble match but apparently that is not the case. PWInsider reports, per sources in WWE Creative, that as of today there are zero plans for Mahaan to be in the Rumble. So, unless there’s a last second change, don’t expect to see him on Saturday.
WWE filed for the “Veer Mahaan” trademark in November and he has been backstage at shows, but they have not pulled the trigger on his debut because they haven’t had a creative plan for him yet. This is similar to Elias. They showed weeks of vignettes for the re-debut of Elias but those plans were dropped.
Mahaan has appeared on WWE TV before alongside Shanky and Jinder Mahal but this time he will be pushed as a singles star.
