On the latest Wrestling Observer radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about Zeb Colter and whether or not WWE has plans for him. Meltzer said that there are no plans for Colter right now.
Colter’s role with WWE has been very limited since health issues forced him off WWE TV in 2014 after his run as Jack Swagger’s manager. I don’t know the exact cause of his health issues but the word from backstage in WWE was that he was having trouble moving around and he did have legitimate surgery. The storyline explanation for his absence was that Rusev attacked him backstage. Colter returned in late 2015 for a brief run as Alberto Del Rio’s manager.
I am told that Colter has plans to launch a new “Zebcast” blog in a few weeks. Fun fact: The idea for the Zeb Colter name came from his old 90s WWE Character (Uncle Zebekiah) and Ann Coulter’s last name.
