WWE has pulled Raw star from the road

Injuries are going to happen in wrestling, no matter the style of a wrestler or the promotion they work in. Unfortunately, for one WWE star, the company has decided to keep them on the sidelines while they heal up.

Absence

WWE is giving talent off for Christmas and aired the last live TV episode of the year with Monday Night Raw, as this Friday’s SmackDown is a taped show. Next week’s Raw is a best of show. The WWE crew returns to the road on December 26 but will do so without one Raw star.

Fans may have picked up on Xavier Woods not being with Kofi Kingston on Monday’s Raw. Pwinsider reports Woods is currently off the road as he is “banged up” and needs some time to heal. It’s unclear what the exact injury is or when he will be back.

His status

It should be noted that Woods was recently in Birmingham, Alabama, which is where talent usually goes in case they need to get surgery. He had been previously advertised for the post-Christmas live event tour.

WWE has since removed him from the advertisements, with only Kingston being advertised from The New Day.

Woods’ last match was on the November 27th episode of Raw in a #1 Contendership Tag Team Turmoil Match for a shot at the titles.
