WWE has recently signed around two dozen wrestlers

Over the last few days, there have been reports of several wrestlers signing with WWE such as Blake Christian, Taya Valkyrie, Harlem Bravado, and the former Eli Drake, who is now going by the name of LA Knight.

Dave Meltzer noted on today’s Wrestling Observer Radio the company is signing a lot of talent at the moment, around two dozen people. Typically, WWE will sign a mixture of established wrestlers and athletes who have never wrestled before as Performance Center recruits.

“They got Blake Christian signed, Taya Valkyrie, Harlem Bravado. They have like two dozen people signed. They’re on a signing spree.”

Knight made his promotional debut under this gimmick during the NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day pre-show. The belief is the next set of recruits will be reporting to the WWE Performance Center next Tuesday. Thus, a full list of names that have signed with the company will be announced at that time.

Meltzer added, “Blake Christian is 23, he’s a guy, everyone wanted him, everybody was interested in him, and WWE got him. He absolutely has a lot of promise, he’s the kind of guy that they should be going with the sense of they need young talent.”
