WWE has released TJP

WWE has announced the release of TJP. He joins Tye Dillinger, Arn Anderson and Hideo Itami on the list of names released this week.

“WWE has come to terms on the release of Theodore Perkins (TJP),” WWE said in a short statement on their website.

TJP’s release is not a surprise. He has expressed frustration on social media about not being used more. At one point last year, there was a storyline in place for him that teased his move to Raw or SmackDown Live. For whatever reason, that storyline was dropped.

TJP was originally signed after competing in the Cruiserweight Classic. He is one of many wrestlers brought up to the main roster that have stalled because creative did not have much for them and because of the overcrowded roster. In TJP’s case, being stuck on 205 Live every week did not do him any favors.
