WWE Has Significant Interest In Signing Ricky Starks

The writing is on the wall that Ricky Starks’ time in AEW may end after not being used in months.

Fightful first reported that breaking up with Big Bill and feuding with Starks was the only pitch Starks turned down in the last several months. He was against it because Starks did not think Big Bill losing a feud with him would benefit Bill.

Instead, he wanted them to have an amicable split. Various media outlets have reported that he is expected to go to WWE once Starks is free and clear of his AEW deal. The company reportedly has an interest in the charismatic star.

A social media rumor went around late Tuesday night that Starks may be a free agent already. However, neither AEW nor Starks have publicly commented on his status with the promotion.

There have also been no reports confirming his departure. However, Fightful Select’s Corey Brennan has reported there is “significant interest” within WWE NXT in bringing Starks to the brand whenever he becomes available.

Both Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill, two of Starks’ good friends, have spoken highly about Starks’ work in the ring.
