WWE has started to explore a “plan B” for new city to host WrestleMania 37

WrestleMania 37 is scheduled for March 28, 2021 at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

As the weeks go by with the coronavirus impacting the United States, WWE is continuing to make changes to their plans that include the biggest event of the year for them in WrestleMania.

It’s well known by now that the WrestleMania 37 show is not guaranteed to happen in the city. Restrictions on large gatherings by the state government might not be lifted until 2021. It’s also possible that the stadium isn’t completed by the time WrestleMania takes place.

WrestleVotes sent out a report on Saturday that notes WWE has begun researching a plan on an alternative site to host WrestleMania 37. You can see the full tweet here:

“Full disclaimer – it’s far too early to speculate on specific details, however: WWE has begun researching a “plan B” on an alternative site to host WrestleMania 37 if the state of California is not allowing large gatherings and / or SoFi Stadium is not finished on time.”

While not confirmed, there is speculation that Tampa could be in the running to host the show in 2022 if WWE is able to run Los Angeles next year. However, there’s also a belief that if WWE can’t hold the show in California as planned then Tampa could get the show earlier.

WWE was supposed to hold WrestleMania 36 in Tampa, Florida this year, but due to the virus, the company had to move it to the Performance Center in Orlando.
