Update: PWinsider.com has confirmed that WWE NXT will indeed be going live every Wednesday on the USA Network starting October 7th. Before this, the shows had been taped in advance.

Original: News broke late Thursday night that WWE would be holding episodes of NXT TV as well as NXT TakeOver 31 from the Performance Center instead of Full Sail University.

Triple H hinted during a conference call this week that TakeOver would have a unique look that would be “game-changing.”

This news came after it was reported that this TakeOver event could be moved to the ThunderDome, but no announcement was made. In addition to NXT airing from the PC, WWE will also tape episodes of 205 Live from the training facility.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the reason for WWE taping 205 Live on the same dates as NXT is due to precautionary measures related to COVID. Just like WWE had taped Raw and SmackDown separately, the idea is that if there’s an outbreak of COVID-19 then taping separately would cut down on the chances of a further outbreak with the rosters.

Finally, Meltzer noted that “There has also been talk of going back to live weekly shows from the Performance Center as opposed to Full Sail, every Wednesday as opposed to every other week.”

As of this writing, this is just a discussion and a decision regarding the change has yet to be made.
