WWE has very interesting ideas for the next cinematic match at Extreme Rules: The Horror Show

As noted on Thursday, the next WWE pay-per-view has been titled “Extreme Rules: The Horror Show” and it looks like they have some interesting plans for the Universal Championship match.

Ringside News first reported that the Universal Title match between Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt will be a cinematic match.

Furthermore, Raj Giri from Wrestling Inc. is reporting that the match will include various spots and storytelling that will include elements of the past to the present. This sounds a lot like what they did with the Firefly Fun House match with John Cena and Wyatt at WrestleMania.

Wyatt is reportedly heavily involved with the creative for this match along with Jeremy Borash with Triple H and a few others involved as well. Giri also noted that locations are being scouted for filming for another overnight outdoor shoot.

The idea for this match is for it to be a cross between a “Terminator” and a horror movie with Wyatt having the ability to revive himself. Also, the plan is for this match to have more action than the Firefly Fun House match.

WWE is currently taping tonight’s SmackDown so we may get more details on plans for the match on tonight’s show. Extreme Rules: The Horror Show will air live (excluding the cinematic match) on July 19 from the Performance Center in Orlando, FL.
